How soon will I receive my purchase?
Our goal is to see every online purchase leave our shoppe within one business day of cleared payment. Special orders will take longer to ship, but the estimated shipping time is included in the description. We ship via Canada Post unless otherwise specified or requested. Canada Post's published delivery expectations are as follows: International orders, including those shipped to the U.S., will take longer. A tracking order is provided if the purchase is shipped via Expedited Parcel. The shipment leaves Canada from Mississauga, Ontario, and that is where the tracking information ends. Once it is in the hands of another nation's postal service, we are unable to provide any delivery expectations.

Do you insure shipments?
Insurance is provided for shipments to Canada and the U.S., in those cases in which Canada Post provides insurance coverage; this includes, for example, Expedited Parcel. Additional insurance can be purchased, and we provide you with that option where possible. There is no insurance for international shipments sent via Canada Post. Large-value purchases can be sent via courier at additional cost, and will be insured.

Can I return my purchase?
All fabric and trim lengths are checked twice for quality before being shipped. Please check your purchase as soon as it arrives. Any item purchased from CanadianTartans.com may be returned within seven days of its arrival at your door, unless otherwise specified (remnants, for example, are sold "as is"). All products must be returned in the same condition in which they were shipped. You will be reimbursed the amount you paid for the product as soon as it has been received back at our shoppe. Before returning it, however, we suggest you contact us to discuss your concerns so that we can attempt to accommodate you and save you the cost of return shipping.

Are shipping charges refundable if a product is returned?
Shipping charges are not refundable, so if you have reason to return the product please contact us first so that we can discuss your concerns and reach an accommodation.

Can you supply fabric in other tartans?
We are always looking to add to our selection of tartan fabrics and trims. We do have access to these products in other tartans and are happy to try and source a specific tartan for you. If we can't supply you ourselves, we may be able to point you in the direction of a U.K. supplier with access to an even larger selection.

Do you refund excess shipping charges?
Yes, we refund any funds that exceed your actual shipping charges by US$2.00 or more. We aren't in business to make money on shipping charges.

I need a large, continuous length for a kilt. Can you supply this?
Absolutely! If you don't see a 9-yard "kilt length" available, contact us and we will see what we can do.

I need a small amount of fabric for a project. Can I purchase less than a yard?
You bet! You will find "fat quarters" listed in cotton, polyester/cotton and polyester/viscose. We also sell the 100% wool fabric by the 1/2 yard. Be sure to check out the remnants section as well for small quantities that are the result of miscuts, bolt ends, or slight flaws in the material.
